Still Plugging Away ...

... on my tote bag project. I finished & felted the 2nd tote on Sunday, took DS to the hospital for treatment on Monday, and came home Tuesday and took pictures to post here.

I like how sturdy this bag is, but I probably would choose a lighter color than Jack's Plum (Lamb's Pride) if I were to do it over again. I feel like the contrast between the plum & the Periwinkle is too much. I have to say that it looks much nicer in the daylight than it does in this night-time picture. The colors are much more muted here. Overall, though, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Needed a Change

Well, I was getting irritated with the previous template I was using. It was rather hard to customize. So, I thought I would try out "Dots" ... it seems appropriate, eh?

Anyway, not much else to blog today. I'm just wasting time while I'm waiting for the children to finish their breakfast. And, oh, how I hope the mood changes around here. It would seem that DS woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Hopefully, raising his blood sugar will help.

I'm almost done w/ my first Oregon Tote. I just need to knit the two i-cord handles and then felt it. I am really surprised at how big it is. I used two strands of worsted yarn held together instead of one strand of bulky, like the pattern calls for. I want to knit one up using bulky yarn instead to see what the size difference is. Hopefully, I'll have picks of the current one soon.
